Realizing that the region’s creative think-tank actually needs a means to vent out their imagination, we thought they could route it through us. Along with the popularity of other creative genres, short film making seems to have gathered momentum here. Keeping its wide prospect in mind DY365 through the DY SHORTZ is out in its search for the most promising short film makers .

GUIDELINES

You have the potential we give you the platform. To present the unexplored geniuses before our large discerning television audience, DY365 invites entries from aspiring filmmakers who want to make themselves heard. We however have no reservation regarding the formats i.e. all formats including short films shot on video phone will be accepted and participants are exempted from any entry fee. We would accept any number of entries from a single participant.

All you need to do is:

• Visit our website and register….make a original short film…of not more than 30 minutes…..and send it to us along with the entry form.
• Entries should be accompanied by- a synopsis of the film-biography and complete filmography of the director – still photograph of the film-and passport size photograph of the director.
• Film submission format : MINIDV; DVD(PAL)
• Write the title, your name, email address and telephone number on the tape case.
• If the film is in any other language except Hindi, Assamese and Bengali, it should be accompanied by English subtitles.

DEADLINES

All entries should reach us on or before September 30, 2010.

SELECTION

The best entries selected by a panel of eminent filmmakers and critics, will be aired in our channel for the scheduled time. Special recognition may also be awarded, at the discretion of the judges.
