February 12, 2018: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a three-nation tour, wraps it up with his visit to Oman as he arrived from Dubai.

On Monday, Modi held wide-ranging talks with the Sultan of Oman - Qaboos bin Said al Said and discussed measures to strengthen cooperation in trade and investment, energy, defence, security, food security and regional issues.
After their talks, the two sides signed eight agreements, including an MoU on legal and judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters. Moreover, Modi also held meetings with the deputy prime ministers of Oman - Sayyid Fahad and Sayyid Asad.
It may be mentioned that Modi addressed the Indian diaspora at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Oman’s capital Muscat.
Besides this he attended a meeting with Omani CEOs at the India-Oman business meet. He also visited the Shiva temple in Muscat and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
This was the first prime ministerial visit to that Gulf nation in 10 years since the visit of then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2008.
On the first leg of his tour, Modi had travelled to Ramallah, becoming the first Indian prime minister to make an official visit to Palestine. From there he visited the UAE, before arriving in Oman.
