February 03, 2018: Hafiz Saeed, the chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawah as well as the founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba has backtracked from his earlier statement on his house arrest. “It was not Modi government, but our own Pakistani government that had detained me for 10 months. The Pakistani government wanted to stop me from raising the Kashmir issue,” claimed JuD chief Hafeez Saeed.

Earlier JuD chief had blamed India and the USA government for his detention saying the Pakistani Government had put him under house arrest under pressure from India and USA. Saeed was released from the house arrest on 24th November, 2017.
The 2008 Mumbai attack mastermind Saeed has a bounty of 10 million USD on his head.
