October 3, 2017: Triggering sensation the death toll in the Las Vegas massacre has risen to 59, with more than 520 injured that took place on Sunday night.

The deadly massacre took place in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Hotel in Las Vegas at around 10.20pm on Sunday local time (6.20am BST) during the Route 91 Harvest Festival, a three-day country music event, when the gunman started shooting rapidly from the 32th floor of hotel into a crowd of some 22,000 concertgoers.
Dozens of patrol vehicles descended on the Strip after authorities received reports of an active shooter near the concert. Some officers took cover behind their vehicles while others carrying assault rifles ran into the hotel.
The gunman identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock was later found dead by the police in his hotel room.
Moreover, the police had found at least 23 weapons inside his hotel room, which includes multiple rifles, some with scopes and another 19 guns from his home in Mesquite, Nevada.
Reportedly, he bought multiple firearms in the past, but investigators believe the firearms were purchased legally.
The motive behind the shooting, which has been considered as the deadliest till date in modern history, is yet to be ascertained.
On the other hand the Islamic State has claimed that Paddock was one of its soldiers who had converted into Islam several months ago, but did not provide any evidence of its claim.
Whereas the F.B.I. said there was no evidence so far that Paddock had ties to any international terrorist organization, and relatives said he had not displayed strong political or ideological beliefs in their interactions with him as per reports.
Investigation is on process.
