Do you have the habit of looking at your phone screen before going to bed every night?

This new generation lifestyle technique can not only mess with your sleep, but also impacts how sleepy and alert you are the next day.

According to a study, published in the journal ‘Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences’, by Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts it was found that anyone who uses a Tablet, Laptop, Smartphone, or certain TVs before bed faces serious health issues.

The blue light emitted by these screens effects mental and physical health and also affects the eyes.

The light from screens alters sleepiness and alertness, and suppresses melatonin levels.

Surprisingly, more than 80 percent of the World’s urban population is in the habit of looking at a screen before bedtime, and this has become a usual habit.

According to a researcher "The best recommendation (although not the most popular) would be to avoid use of light-emitting screens before bedtime, and if at all necessary use before one hour of sleep to avoid harmful health effects”.
