37 million units of painkiller meant for Islamic State terrorists made by Indian Company seized by Italian Police

May 11, 2017: The Italy Police seized 37 million pills of drug, tramadol, used by Islamic State Terrorists as a painkiller, made by Indian company.

The 37 million tramadol pills, worth $75 million were found packed into three containers at the port of Genoa, labeled as blankets and shampoo and set to be loaded on a freighter bound for Misrata and Tobruk in Libya, as PTI reports.

Italian police said that pills came from India and would have been used for two purposes; to help finance Islamic terrorism and for use by jihadist fighters as a stimulant and to heighten resistance to physical stress.
