October 23, 2016 -- Patanjali will soon be entering the textile manufacturing sector, its founder and Yoga guru Ramdev said on Satuday. He expressed hope that the group's growth rate will increase to 200 per cent in the next fiscal. Speaking at the inaugural fucntion of the 2-day Global Investors Summit, he said, 'Our growth rate is 100 percent in the current fiscal, which is going to climb to 200 per cent in the next financial year.'
Apart from traditional kurta pajama, Patanjali will come out with foreign apparels like jeans. 'Some say I will make jeans, but jeans is just one product. I will make saris, kurtas, shirts and coats,' said Ramdev.
'India has all potential to become a big global manufacturing centre. We import Rs 24-25 lakh crore goods that includes four lakh crore Chinese products. If we take a vow, we can turn India into a global manufacturing centre', Ramdev said.
