Oct 15, 2015- The entire nation on Thursday is celebrating the birth anniversary of India’s 'Missile Man' Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam.

A man who was named 'Missile Man' for his contribution in developing ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology also became an inspiration for everyone specially the 'youth' for his ideas and vision on education and dreams.
Unfortunately, this year we lost him after he breathed his last on July 27.
United Nations has declared Dr. Kalam's birth anniversary as 'World Students Day' in the year 2010 on his 79th birth anniversary. This is an honour that will mark his birth anniversary this year too.
The UN declaration has marked his birth anniversary in the world which will fulfill his last wish to be remembered as a teacher to all the students on 'World Students Day'.
Prime Minister Narednra Modi in fond remembrance of Kalam, unveiled his statue on his birth anniversary in New Delhi. He also inaugurated a photo exhibition dedicated to him "A Celebration of Dr Kalam's Life" at DRDO Bhawan.
Expressing his happiness to be a part of this event, he tweeted, "Glad to join Dr. Kalam's birth anniversary celebrations, which includes unveiling of his statue & photo exhibition."
