Ingredients: 1 cup rice,1/2 cup chana dal, 2 tsp ghee,1 bay leaf, 1 tsp cumin seeds, Salt and chilli powder to taste, 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, 1 cup rice, 1 cup boiled vegetables of your choice (peas, carrots, beans)Procedure: Heat a pan and melt ghee. Add bay leaf, cinnamon and cumin seeds. Allow to crackle. Add salt and chilli powder; add rice with 21/2 cups of water and the channa dal. Once the water boils, Add the vegetables. Lower the flame and allow to simmer till rice has done. Add garam masala powder. Serve hot.
