Italian Salad Recipe
2 romaine lettuce hearts cut into small bite size pieces
1 small red onion, sliced very thin
4 Roma tomatoes, sliced
1 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese
½ cup light olive oil
½ cup balsamic vinegar
½ teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon basil
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 Tablespoons sweetener
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 package breadsticks
In a large bowl toss all vegetables and cheese together.
Add oil and vinegar and toss well.
Add remaining ingredients, tossing after each addition. (This insured even distribution of spices.)
Serve on salad plates with breadsticks.
